You arrive — and switch off.
You've just stepped off the bus or plane — and we begin. We head straight to a cosy countryside house in Navarre — warm walls, a shared living room, the place where long evening conversations will happen.
Bags dropped — and we're off to Pamplona. This city isn't about ticking boxes, it's about atmosphere. Narrow streets, historic facades, the smell of coffee and fresh pastry. History here isn't behind museum glass — it's right there on the streets.
In the evening we sit down for dinner. Local food, wine and that moment when you realise: you didn't end up here by chance, this trip is going to have its own story.
A day for those who love it when the adventure starts in the morning
We head to France — into the mountains, where a legendary mountain train is waiting for us. Slowly, with every turn, panoramas unfold that are impossible to forget. The feeling of being inside a film.
Next — Hondarribia. A living fortress by the ocean: colourful balconies, ancient walls and France on the other side of the river. A place where history is simply part of everyday life.
In the evening — dinner at an authentic Basque restaurant. No tourist menus here, only real dishes cooked the way they have been for decades.
Today is all about taste and grandeur
We drive to Rioja, to one of the most intimate wineries — Lecea. A private, almost personal space where the true mood of Rioja comes through most clearly.
Next — Olite Castle, the former residence of the Kings of Navarre. Walls that remember royal banquets, secret meetings and medieval grandeur.
In the evening we gather for a group barbecue. Meat, fish, glasses of wine, conversation, laughter. This is where the group becomes a group of friends.
Scale and million-dollar views
In the morning we visit a vast monastery where the Jesuit order was born. The scale is felt in every stone.
Next — Zumaia. Sharp cliffs and million-dollar views, an essential stop in the North. You climb to the edge and the full force of the ocean opens up before you.
In the evening — San Sebastián. We go to try the famous Basque cheesecake at the place where it was created. The perfect way to close out the day in good company.
From city energy to ocean magic
In the morning we're in Bilbao — walking from the old town with its markets and street life to the legendary Guggenheim Museum and its bold modern architecture.
Next — Gaztelugatxe. An island connected to the mainland by a stone bridge and hundreds of steps. You climb up and the Atlantic opens before you in full force. This is the moment you understand why you came here.
In the evening dinner at a restaurant — we share impressions and catch the last moments of this journey.
We say goodbye to the North — but not to its atmosphere
We check out and head towards the airport or bus station.
If the group has a late departure, we'll make one last stop — the final chapter of this journey.
Our home is about atmosphere, not just a place to sleep.
The whole house is yours — secluded, warm, with a terrace and mountain views that make you want to stay longer.
Everyone gets their own cosy bedroom (2 people per room). Full amenities inside.
Outside — summer evenings under string lights, a shared table, the sound of the grill and conversations that stretch into the night.
Important:
● photos of the house may vary, but the level of comfort and cosy atmosphere will always remain the same.● if the group is smaller than 6 people, the house may be replaced by a countryside hotel in a similar style.
I'm Andrei, founder of Viajes del Norte. I don't resell other people's tours — I create signature expeditions that I've done myself.
On every trip I'm there with you the whole way. We share the same house, have breakfast and dinner together, and build the kind of atmosphere where everyone feels like they belong.
This isn't about excursions. It's about the right context. My goal is for you to feel at home in Northern Spain — surrounded by people with similar values and outlook.
Not a tour. A feeling that you're in the right place, with the right people.

You can fly into Bilbao, San Sebastián, Pamplona or Vitoria. The largest and best-connected airport is Bilbao. We'll meet you at any of these airports — just let us know your arrival details after booking. You can also arrive by bus or train to any of these cities. We'll send you full transfer guidance once your spot is confirmed.
The approximate price is €1,240 per person. However, the final cost is calculated individually — it depends on the season, group size and specific dates. The smaller the group, the more personalised the experience — and the price reflects that. To get your exact quote just send us a request and we'll come back to you within 24 hours. Payment is made in stages: a deposit to confirm your spot, the remainder closer to the departure date.
f you cancel 50 or more days before departure — we refund the deposit in full. After that point the deposit is non-refundable. We understand that plans change, so if something comes up we'll always try to find a solution together — whether that's finding a replacement traveller or moving your booking to another date.
Most days involve light to moderate walking — nothing extreme. The exception is the Gaztelugatxe day, which is one of the more physically demanding days on the route. There are several hundred steps up to the hermitage and some coastal walking. It's absolutely worth it — but worth knowing in advance if you have any mobility concerns. On all other days the pace is relaxed and unhurried.
Children aged 10 and above will be comfortable on this tour. Younger kids may find the pace and format less suited to them. A discount of approximately 5-10% applies for children — calculated individually depending on the group and dates. Just mention it when you reach out and we'll work out the details together.
Yes. The house has stable WiFi, hairdryers in the rooms and a washing machine available for use. Pack light — layers for the northern climate, comfortable walking shoes and one smarter outfit for dinner. That's genuinely all you need.
Solo travellers often get the most out of this format. Small group, shared house, long evenings — you arrive alone and leave with people you actually want to stay in touch with. Rooms are twin, so solo travellers may share with another solo guest. A private room is possible with a supplement of approximately 25-30% — availability needs to be confirmed at the time of booking.
